New work out today for @patagonia ...here’s a little teaser. [link to full film in bio on our site]

What is the problem with discarded fishing nets? We’re glad you asked. Turns out they are 4 times more harmful than all other plastic pollution combined. Destroying marine habitats and can last for over 600 years at the bottom of the ocean. Before this project we had no idea. Very thankful for companies like @patagonia and @bureo who are leading the way to solve our most pressing environmental problems.

For the past 5 years Patagonia and Bureo have been in development of NetPlus®, the traceable, 100% recycled plastic material used for the brim stiffeners in their hats. It’s made from damaged nets collected in fishing communities in Chile and Argentina—a project that benefits fishermen by helping supplement their income and benefits our planet by repurposing 71,000 pounds of waste per year.

With all that is happening in the world it’s hard to think about conserving water —COVID-19 is a threat unlike anything we’ve seen in our lifetimes. Which is why we forgot to post our most recent film for @levis on World Water Day yesterday. We hope you and your families are staying home and safe during this pandemic.

Our planet only has a limited supply of water. Levi’s knows that bringing denim to market takes a lot of resources— and a lot of water. So a few years back Levi’s developed a way to create the worn-in look using stones and saving 3 billion liters of water throughout the process.

We partnered with Levi’s to create a collection of films about the environmental impact our clothing has on the planet. This is the first of a few we’ll be sharing.

It’s admirable when a brand encourages its customers to not buy new and instead repair what they already own.
— let’s admit we have a buying problem, it’s time to scale back, use what we already own and repair what we can. Giving new life to our old clothing gives a longer life to our planet.
